Day 1: Bali to Mount Bromo

  • Arrive in Probolinggo : From here, you’ll need to transfer to the base of Mount Bromo (Cemoro Lawang) for an overnight stay in a guesthouse or hotel.

Day 2: Sunrise at Mount Bromo

  • Early morning sunrise tour of Mount Bromo: You’ll wake up around 2:300 AM and take a jeep to the viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan, Kingkong Hill (which offers the best views of Bromo at sunrise). From here, you’ll witness the spectacular view of Mount Bromo and its surrounding volcanic landscape as the sun rises.

Day 3: Ijen Crater Tour

  • Midnight departure for Ijen Crater: You’ll depart at around 12 AM or 1 AM to begin the hike up to Ijen Crater.
    • The Ijen trek is a moderate climb, taking around 1 hours to reach the summit (roughly 2,368 meters above sea level).
    • Blue Fire phenomenon: One of the main attractions of Ijen is the blue fire, a rare natural phenomenon caused by burning sulfur. This is best seen in the early morning before sunrise, and the sight of the eerie blue flames in the dark is unforgettable.
    • Ijen Crater Lake: After witnessing the blue fire, continue up to the edge of the Ijen Crater and see the beautiful turquoise sulfuric lake. The fumes from the sulfur can be strong, so be prepared with a gas mask.
  • Descend back down to the base and return to Hotel  for breakfast and check out.
